Quizmaster Ryan W. was back at the Ale House for Thursday night quizzin' this week, despite being pretty fresh from ACL knee surgery and still a lil' dizzy from the fantastic pain-killing drugs! As he says, "the show must go on!"
And that it did.
After 30 questions and six rounds, twas the stalwarts from Suck it Trebek that wrapped up another victory with 45 points.
Second was a much closer contest, as three teams would duke it out in sudden death for the runners-up prize. The question asked team to guess the height of The Shard - Europe's tallest building and Random Answers suggestion of 1005 feet was closest to the actual answer of 1016 feet...
We know who the brains behind their operation is.... let's just say they're drinking soda.
In best team name news, there were a number of Harry Potter (or should that be Pooter) and James Bond references, but ultimately twas the relative newcomers from Eating Taco Bell gave me 13 days of Gross Domestic Product that took away the $10 award....
That's why we eat at Burger King.
